POLISH PAVILION AT EXPO 2015

Conceptual design, project leadership and production


For Milan 2015 EXPO, Fish Ladder was the conceptual LEAD for THE exhibition design, post-production and delivery OF the POLISH expo Pavilion.

We planned and created the experience design strategy for the Polish Pavilion grounding it in the idea of blending traditional relationships between Poland and Italy and fitting into to the central message of the EXPO exhibition “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.”

Using cutting-edge media and interactive technologies we were able to link the power of tradition and cultural heritage through consistent spatial and sensory interactions.

The central part of the Pavilion was an interactive sculpture “Mouth of Truth” (“Bocca delle Verita”) resembling a face of an ancient Roman god.

This was alongside a few dozen of other engaging artefacts.

The Polish pavilion turned out to be one of the top 10 visited pavilions during the EXPO.
